Special Exhibition on Sealing Solutions at the 2025 Annual Conference for Small Power Equipment

At the recently concluded annual gathering for small power equipment, SealTex not only engaged in in-depth discussions with industry peers on market trends and technological advancements but also seized this opportunity to showcase a series of high-performance sealing solutions specifically engineered for the demanding conditions of outdoor power equipment. The exhibition focused on critical components of small power equipment such as small engines and outboard motors—including engines, exhaust pipes, crankcases, oil pans, cylinder gaskets, and mufflers. Through a range of market-proven advanced materials, it demonstrated how modern sealing technology safeguards the efficient, reliable, and long-lasting operation of such equipment.

Outdoor power equipment frequently operates continuously under conditions of vibration, high temperatures, oil medium corrosion, and harsh climatic environments. The performance of its seals directly determines the equipment's power output, emission levels, service life, and user experience. Failure at any single sealing point can lead to power loss, oil leakage, increased noise, or even equipment shutdown. Therefore, selecting sealing materials perfectly matched to the operating conditions is a critical aspect of product design.

At this annual conference, we highlighted sealing material solutions for the following models, each with distinct advantages to precisely address challenges in different components. Additionally, we provide technical support such as FUJI pressure testing and FEA finite element analysis from the initial sealing design phase, ensuring long-term sealing performance for various small-scale power equipment.

Core Display Materials and Application Analysis

1. Engine and Transmission System Seals

Cylinder Gasket Sealing: SEALTEX showcased solutions utilizing ST-4872 and ST-9000-W. These two composite materials are renowned for their exceptional high-temperature stability, creep resistance, and sealing compensation capabilities. They effectively withstand the high-temperature, high-pressure gas impacts between the cylinder head and block mating surfaces, ensuring long-term reliability for the engine's core sealing.

Crankcase, Oil Pan, Carburetor Seals: For crankcases and oil pans exposed to oil-fuel vapor mixtures and pressure, we strongly recommend InterFace Materials N-8092 and SealTex ST-2152. This rubber-based sealing gasket offers excellent oil resistance, flexibility, and conformability, maintaining reliable sealing performance even under fluctuating bolt preload and minor housing deformation.

2. Exhaust and Muffler System Sealing

The exhaust system is one of the most demanding areas within equipment, subjected to prolonged exposure to high temperatures, corrosive exhaust gases, and condensation acids. We highly recommend SealTex's ST-4376 (exhaust system seal capable of withstanding instantaneous high temperatures and continuous thermal cycling in exhaust pipes while effectively compensating for joint gap variations caused by thermal expansion and contraction) and ST-4873 (silencing system seal).

Dustproof, waterproof, and oil-resistant seals for cylinder head covers, junction boxes, etc.

We showcase sealing gaskets manufactured by Portugal's AMORIM TS1521. This material, based on cork and SBR styrene-butadiene rubber, delivers exceptional vibration damping, sealing, and rebound properties. It provides excellent compensation for irregular or easily deformed economical flanges.

High-Performance Fiber Solutions: SealTex, in partnership with InterFace (USA) and AMORIM (Portugal), remains committed to delivering cutting-edge materials for sealing small power equipment. Whether addressing ultra-high-temperature zones or areas requiring enhanced erosion resistance, meeting sealing demands for various flanges, covers, and other flat interfaces, or fulfilling requirements for balanced physical properties (oil resistance, water resistance, aging resistance), we consistently meet our customers' sealing needs. Beyond effective sealing, we have developed multiple cost-effective materials for the aftermarket. These serve as reliable, economical choices for non-extreme conditions, demonstrating the flexibility and cost-effectiveness of our solutions.

Summary and Outlook

The InterFace N-8092, AMORIM TS1521, and SealTex sealing series materials (ST-4376, ST-9000-W, ST-2152, ST-4872, etc.) represent not merely individual products but a comprehensive sealing system solution for outdoor small power equipment. Their shared characteristics include: eco-friendly asbestos-free composition, exceptional durability, outstanding environmental adaptability, and precise performance under demanding conditions.

Through this annual conference, we engaged in in-depth discussions with numerous partners and gained a profound understanding of the industry's urgent need to enhance product reliability and environmental standards. We firmly believe that advanced sealing technology is the key enabler for outdoor small power equipment to achieve a more efficient, cleaner, and quieter future. We look forward to collaborating with industry colleagues to apply these innovative sealing solutions to more and better equipment, jointly driving the progress and development of the entire industry.
